What is the largest desert in the World? July 14, 2007

For today’s educational, you might wonder what the largest desert in the world is.

It is Antarctica – the driest place in the world. It’s like 5.5 million square miles. However, it has a problem. It’s polar.

The largest non-polar desert in the world is Sahara. It’s 3.5 million square miles (massive init). Sahara goes from Sudan to Mauritania. If that says anything to you. If that doesn’t – Sahara is on the North of Africa. If that doesn’t say anything to you either, Africa is a big country in the bottomer center of the map of the world (RandR has covered that already). Anyway.
