What Languages Does John McWhorter speak? October 5, 2009
I liked the courses of John McWhorter from the Teaching Company and I was curious what languages he does speak himself.
After some research, I found out he speaks English and then French, Spanish and German fluently and Japanese to some extent and can read and more or less speak Latin, Italian, Portuguese, Dutch, Swedish, Russian, Esperanto, Swahili, Hebrew and Saramaccan (which he mentioned in his course).

Hello, if you are interested in learning languagse, I suggest you visit I Kinda Like Languages. It has quite some resources based on the topic, then some tips, courses, blog and a few twists to the site that make it more interesting.
All in all, I kinda like languages is for those that kinda like languages.
Carl Kenner Japanese September 3, 2008
I have got a torrent with a Carl Kenner Japanese course which I found to be totally completely awesome but it ends unexpectedly without even covering the whole course material in CD 2.
It was quite hard to find any information about this on the net but eventually I was able to find that the course is still being continued.

The first two CDs are already in the torrent but if you download the package, you get two CDs (CDs 3 and 4) more. It’s worth checking out.
Having a bbq shortly and in need for ideas February 19, 2008
So far there’s nothing that-much-new to talk to you about. Well, maybe except the fact I” be having a bbq pretty soon and currently I have just a few ideas from the bbq ideas site. I’ll check the site out some more bbq ideas later perhaps. For now, these will do.
Drilling Billy or Антошка DOS Game February 17, 2008
Do you know the old DOS game Antoshka (Антошка)? You had to dig some holes to get monsters in them (bananas, hammers and so on) and then bury them in there to make them fall and pass levels.
So, good news, guys, if you were looking for this game, now where is a site with instructions and links how to get Antoshka (Drilling Billy).
And if you haven’t tried it, go on and do it. Antoska is a really cool game and you’ll like it.

Let’s have a couple of ferret facts, or, if you want to be more specific, ferret care facts for those of you who are interested in how to care for ferrets or its variation how to care for a ferret.First of all, do you know how to build a ferret cage, I mean, how to make a ferret cage? You have to use wood for that. Lotsa wood. Don’t use glue because it won’t stick. You have to add the wood togather somehow. Well, anyway, it’s hard. Better buy one…Once we have gotten that outta the way, let’s move on. We have to find out how to get fleas off of ferrets. My best suggestion for getting fleas off of ferrets would be this… USE SHAMPOO! Of course, not any shampoo, lol. Use ferret shampoo that you can get in stores.Finally, let’s settle on something. This is a big one… How to make a ferret hamock… sorry, how to make a ferret hammock. Ideally, you have to use a rope and some matter. But, as a matter of fact, it should not be a matter of fact. It should be a matter of matter. You use something to stick it with the rope and voila. No, I’m kidding. A tutorial could be released (especially if somebody is interested – write in comments). Actually, for now you should settle on a ferret hammock you bought.So, we have ferret care, ferret cage, ferret fleas and ferret hammock. When will you stop caring about ferrets?
